A core aspect of Dermatology Awareness Group - Canada mission involves building partnerships and collaborating with medical and health professionals, policymakers, academics, researchers, and other key stakeholders who are committed to patient-centered healthcare.

Transparency

As a not-for-profit organization, we are looking to collaborate with like-minded organizations. However, it must be noted that these partnerships have no influence on our work, finances, or the messaging we deliver to our audience. DAG-C operates on the principle of forming strategic alliances with organizations that share our goals.

Ethical Collaboration

To safeguard its values and those of its members, and to assure the independence of the patient voice in all of our affairs, Dermatology Awareness Group – Canada adheres to the Canadian Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration which follows these four overarching principles:

  1. Ensure patients’ best interests are at the core of our activities.

  2. Promote transparent and accountable conduct.

  3. Set clear rules on gifts, funding and conferences, continuing health education and clinical research.

  4. Guide national ethical leadership.

Upholding high-standard ethical business practices and sustaining patient trust is of utmost importance to health systems, especially for subject matter experts in health-related sectors. Dermatology Awareness Group - Canada (DAG-C) is committed to maintaining its independence and integrity. All partnerships are entered into with the understanding that DAG-C’s mission to advocate for skin health and patient rights remains paramount and is not subject to external pressures or commercial interests.
